4 cyclists on Marin charity ride injured in hit-and-run

Four cyclists were injured, one severely, Saturday in rural Marin County when the driver of a pickup struck slammed his vehicle into the group and then took off without stopping. “It appears that it was an intentional act,” said Officer Andrew Barclay, a California Highway Patrol spokesman. “We are actively searching for the vehicle.” The CHP apparently has plenty to go on. A motorcycle rider heading the other way on the Point Reyes-Petaluma Road near Hicks Valley Road was wearing a video camera that captured images of the truck within seconds of the crash, Barclay added. “We have witnesses, video, good shots of the vehicle and are getting tips,” he said.
